We are a family run Guesthouse and are now in our 18th year of ownership. We extend a warm welcome to Blackpool for couples, families and mature older people. Please note that we do not cater for singles or any size of all male or all female or mixed sex groups, not even two or three.
Guaranteed complimentary parking for your car is provided on the premises. Just ask at the time of booking.
Our largest room will only sleep three people. This is suitable, for instance, for a couple with one child over three or a couple with an older relative. Please no one night enquiries.

The Avenue is proud to have obtained a 3 Star grading from Visit Britain. All graded hotel or guesthouse accommodation is inspected annually and must meet good quality standards. Wifi internet access is available free to residents in the lounge area so why not bring your laptop and keep in touch with things at home or the office. We are in a very central situation in Blackpool and just a few minutes from the Tower, Winter Gardens and Theatres.
The most popular Blackpool C.I.U clubs are nearby as is the excellent Houndshill Shopping Centre.
| | The Avenue has eight centrally heated en-suite rooms all provided with colour TV and tea/coffee facilities. Standard rooms are our smaller rooms but have full en-suite facilities, Tea/Coffee and TV. Superior rooms are larger with new decor, fitted furniture, TV/Videos, hairdryer, hospitality trays and electronic safes.
Our New Premier Room has all the little touches to make your stay that much more comfortable. Ideal for special occasions or just treat yourself to that little bit of extra luxury. There is a pleasant seating area where you can enjoy over 30 channels on the wall mounted Sony LCD TV with freeview and DVD player. Full tea/coffee making facilities. Super walk in shower with drencher and hand hose. Trouser press incorporating an ironing centre. A walk in wardrobe which is independantly lockable for your security. A silent run fridge, hairdryer with shaver socket and for workaholics or just for fun a work desk with free broadband internet access.
For your comfort and convenience The Avenue does not cater for Stag or Hen parties or Singles or Groups of any size, not even two or three. Strictly couples, small families and mature older people only.
|  Smoking: Due to new Government smoking regulations and to comply with the 2006 Fire Safety Act we have had a new Fire Alarm and Emergency Lighting system installed. This means that, in common with other small hotels and guesthouses, we cannot allow smoking in any part of the premises. We are faced with draconian penalties if we do not observe this law. Very sensitive smoke detectors are now installed throughout the building. We ask all guests to please co-operate.
Blackpool Hotels and Guesthouses who are Vist Britain rated are rigorously inspected annually and this involves an overnight stay by an anonymous inspector at least once every two years.
